Comeng 2003 and 2012

More 2000 class railcars have been made: 2012 in TransAdelaide and 2003 in AdMet.

I have compiled a list of motor cars that were yellow at scrapping, and I will make all motor cars eventually.

The first railcar we have is 2003.

A little bit of info about 2003:

Jumbo no.2003 was the 3rd motor car to enter service, and was the first to be repainted into the yellow Adelaide Metro livery, being repainted in the year 2004. It was repainted directly from the STA livery; it never wore the TransAdelaide livery that was worn by 2012, 2004, 2006, 2001, 2005 and 2011.

2003 was interesting in that it did not ever have numbers on the front, unlike all of its yellow classmates (excluding 2011 and 2004)

Later, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2011 were all repainted into yellow, as well as others I have not found photos of yet.

The second railcar I produced today is 2012.

A little bit of info about 2012:

This is the most iconic of the jumbos: 2012. This railcar was repainted early 2005, but never refurbished into AdMet yellow; instead, it was given Adelaide Metro stickers on the front and TransAdelaide stickers above cab windows. This train worked in a 4-carriage MDMD (Motor-driving trailer-motor-driving trailer) consist for the last 4 years of its service, arranged as 2003-2103-2012-2117. It was unique for being the only non-yellow train in the consist. Despite efforts to save it, it was hauled for scrap in late 2015, still wearing its orange livery, but with a modernised interior.

2003 is preserved, however, with 2109, both of these trains are yellow, and no original orange jumbos were preserved in running order.

Here is the floor equipment for both motor cars:
