Aka V7 on the bluegoose car
6-carriage V sets were the most common arrangement back in the day, with consists frequently having a mix of carriages from across generations, including DCM, DIM and even early DJM cars spread throughout them. Many different liveries, fluting types, and air conditioning were all present in these multicoloured sets.
This accurately depicts set V12, visible in many old videos of trains from the CityRail days.
On one end is bluegoose car DIM8067, and its trailer DIT9104, with two bulletproof windows and candy L7s. This pair have the older air conditioning.
In the middle is candy power car DIM8069 and its trailer DIT9117, with one bulletproof window and CityRail L7s. This pair have the newer air conditioning.
Bringing up the rear is candy power car DIM8068 and its trailer DIT9121, with 1 bulletproof window and candy L7s. This pair have the older air conditioning.
