This is the MP59, in service for 71 glorious years. These witnessed the conversion of Line 1, 4, and 6 to rubber tyred track, the creation of the Paris RER, and the creation of Lines 3bis, 7bis and Météor.

These are by far the most interesting French trains... ever.

They retired last year, on 12 June 2024.

There were, throughout their lives, two consists:

4 cars (Line 11), which was arranged as M-M-R-M, and a special 6-car version, nicknamed the Super 6, which was arranged as M-R-M-M-R-M. Super 6's ran on Lines 1, 4 and 6 before MP59s were retired from there.

RATP "Bleu Blanc" MP59 will come soon. This wore the same livery as the MF77s did initially.
