PavløvA_YT's Modelling
I have begun modelling an S-Tog!
Well... I say "begun", but I have almost finished the model. All that I need to do is the front end. This has, as you may have guessed, been nearly impossible for me...
Given that this is my first time using Fusion360, this was a good effort... I just need someone with actual skill to draw the front end, because it is torturous! I would do anything else as preference!
Also, note that for my first model, I picked something... decidedly round. Fusion, like all 3D modelling software, works better in squares. And here I am, doing a rounded hexagon, with a detailled roof! I should have drawn a train from Sydney, they're all boxes with 45 degree roofs!
"Order form" -- really just an Expression of Interest (at the moment) is below:
1:87 scale DSB Litra SA/SE Order Form
Anyway, features of this train are:
-Detailled roof, body side, and articulation
-Electric motor (either brushless or 5/7 pole skew-wound motor) in front carriage, driving 2 axles
-Single axle bogies (2 bogies on P1, 1 on P2, P3, P4)
-Potentially DCC, if enough people request it
-Scharfenberg couplers on front end of motor car, knuckle coupler on rear end of P4, drawbars everywhere else
-3D printed bodyshells (although may be CNC milled!)
-Bogies will possibly have a pendular tilt system as there is space in the floor for weights.
-Can run in multiple, up to 4 units (16 cars), minimum operation of 2 units Litra SA, 1 unit Litra SE.
-Lights indicating direction of travel
-Note that this model will not have a detailed interior.
