Build: MI84 ÎDFM V1

Hello everyone, here is a build of Bus Peps' MI84 in ÎDFM Version 1 livery (repaint of ÎDF not STÎF, so it has blue window trim, not black, and no silver stripe)

Sadly, before the photoshoot, my mother accidentally destroyed the fourth car by sitting on it and then my cats proceeded to shred it to pieces, so I only have 3 cars 😭still looks cool

I will do a version 2 livery, some day!

All 3 cars I still have
Left hand side of Remorque (trailer)
Motrice (Motor) 1, numbered 8450, this one has yellow lamps lit to show it is the leading car
Right hand side of Remorque (With visible ventillator)

Motrice 2, numbered 8449, this one has red lamps lit to show it is the tail end car.

If you want to build the train, here is the file (from Bus Peps, not my work, but a re-livery by me is in the works!!!)

Motrice

Remorque

Various pieces; bogies, cab walls and pantographs for the MI 84 REMORQUES --- DO NOT MAKE THE MOTRICES WITH THESE!!!

For the Motrices, 8449 is the tail end and 8450 is the head end.

Arrange as ZBDx 8450 - (>)ZRAB 28450 - ZRB 28449(<) - ZBDx 8449 (Either centre car can be ZRAB or ZRB, just number them appropriately, but end cars are determined by their assigned no.)

Pantographs are always at the motor car-joining end of the trailer, with the arm's joint pointing towards the trailer-trailer coupling, with (>) or (<) denoting the pantograph in the coupling diagram above.

Interesting thing I noticed is that, because the even numbered end car always points towards Aéroport Charles de Gaulle station or Mitry–Claye station (one end of RER B) and the odd numbered end car always points toward Robinson station or Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse station (the other end of RER B), and this train has yellow lamps on car 8450, it is going either to CDG or Mitry-Claye! Pretty cool, right?

With all that said, enjoy this train, and feel free to ask for more build tips if needed!

Oh and one last build tip, make the trailers first, they are easier and will teach you how to do the motors, if you do the motors first you will make a mistake, guaranteed.
